This is for intermediate to advanced paddlers of sea kayaks on the beautiful Gold Coast and elsewhere in South East Queensland.
Trips can be quite long, usually at least 16kms but sometimes up to 25kms, so are more suited to kayaks at least 4.5 mtrs long.

Brunswick River two-parts
A good friend of mine from Sydney with a mobile kayak hire business is running a paddle up Marshalls Creek. It is only about 8km return and will be at a fairly slow pace. This paddle then stops at a nice cafe in New Brighton before returning to the start point.
After that I plan to explore the area a bit more and do a longer and/or more adventurous paddle, though we will decide based on the conditions on the day what we will do.

Terranora Creek and up Bilambil Creek
It's going to be fairly long, probably about 30 kms, though we will have some assistance with the tides. Also the forecast at this stage is for not much wind, so sails probably won't help.
I'm thinking we can paddle all the way up Bilambil Creek to Bilambil Village and stop for lunch in a little park by the river. Getting onto shore will be a little tricky as there are rocks near to the only place where it is possible to get out. Paradise Point to Wavebreak Island
The start time is designed to catch the last of the outgoing tide, then come back with the incoming tide.
There are lots of bail out points along the way if need be.
Arrive at 11:30am for a midday launch.
The total distance is about 19km's, and since I'm trying out my new longer kayak the pace is likely to be quite fast.
Ideally suited to kayaks over 5 metres in length.

Morning paddle on Terranora inlet
A fairly short paddle, but might incorporate some rolling practice too.
