All volunteers will need to wear long sleeves, long pants, some sturdy sunglasses or safety glasses, and a hard hat and work gloves. I recommend bringing work gloves that fit you. I will have hard hats and safety glasses to loan out. Highly recommend permethrin treated clothing and some DEET. I use Ultrathon for long lasting face protection.

Forgot to mention that a foam sit pad is a great thing to have - it helps when using the crosscut, sometimes sitting on the ground is the best stance while cutting a low-lying tree. Foam doesn't puncture and keeps the seat of your pants from sap stains and other indignities as well.

Hello, Please let me know when we meet Saturday morning and approximately when we'll return to trailhead Sunday? (Dog sitter wants to know.) I plan to crash Friday night in my vehicle near Prather if anyone has ideas or cautionary tales. May I bring along my Silky Katanaboy 650? https://bugoutroll.ca/products/katanaboy-650mm-10-off-until-december-25th?variant=4117030600745&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=Google%20Shopping&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIt86lpKrv4wIVhshkCh3YZgJeEAQYASABEgLx3PD_BwE

@Carrie L Gustafson: 8 am at the ranger station, per above. The closest official campgrounds are at Millerton, 45 mins from Prather. Not sure about pullout camping, most of the highway between Friant and Prather is through private property. There are also some decent prices on AirBnb rooms in north Fresno and the foothills. I notice someone has a tent on a property five minutes from Prather advertised on Airbnb for $33 (she apparently gives you breakfast as well). As for the Katanaboy, we have one as well, but you can bring yours if you wish.
