A group of people talking about politics. We are mostly liberals, the center-left, moderates, the center-right, progressives, and the occasional libertarian and/or anarchist.
We are interested in how democratic systems of government can be improved. We believe in listening to other points of view in hopes of learning something even when we do not agree.
One of our recurring themes is the apparent divide between liberalism, in its classical and (modern) international sense, and major segments of the progressive left, where a kind of postmodern identity politics has taken hold.
