Tempe Recreation Reserve Holbeach Avenue, Tempe, Australia, 2044
Let's play casual soccer at Tempe Reserve; they have a really good cork synthetic grass pitch and it's waiting for you to have a game there. Meet at the long benches around the halfway mark. There's plenty of free car-parking around, recommend parking at the first car-park on the right, if not that then go park at the big one at the end. It's also a ~15min walk from Wolli Creek Station. We will try to do 2 mini games on the left hand side, both 30m-40m wide.If the synthetic field is not available due to comps bagsing it, meet at the side of the synthetic field where it meets the grass fields (where the big light pole is). Then we'll see which of the grass fields can be used. …

A live meetup to run together in the Run2Cure to help raise funds to fight against neuroblastoma (childhood brain cancer). Like previous in person events, the original format is retained with a run at the Domain and around the Mrs Macquaries Chair for a few loops. Let's play casual soccer at Tempe Reserve; they have a really good cork synthetic grass pitch and it's waiting for you to have a game there. Meet at the long benches around the halfway mark. Watch Australia Cup Football: Forest Rangers v Umina United Eagles
The annual nationwide knockout football competition (the Australia Cup) is starting up in NSW for 2024. Last week saw Round 2 and this week is Round 3. Loads of games featuring NPL and local teams are taking place in these rounds.
A small group of us are going to see a free Australia Cup match live. Play casual soccer at Ador Ave Reserve (Rockdale)!
Let's play casual soccer at Ador Avenue (Rockdale) Reserve; temporary location away from Tempe Reserve as I have been advised that Marrickville FC is playing trial games at Tempe most Sunday afternoons until 5pm. Rockdale has several good synthetic grass pitches. Meet at the long benches along the side, if that is also used for a trial game until past 4.30pm (ask them when they stop if they are playing), we cross the bridge behind the toilets to the other ground McCarthy Reserve. This is accessible by car or car-pool with plenty of parking around. We will try to do 1-2 mini games, both 30m-40m wide.

Young Organists Day @ Sydney Town Hall!
To end off 2022, we are going to have a small group to see Young Organists' Day together. This features Sydney's best young organists play for almost 90 minutes in a free concert every year, and is easily the most attended organ concert in Sydney (attended by over 500 people every year). Held at the Sydney Town Hall usually every year, this free event may be the very last Young Organists' Day ever - as the City Organist that comperes it is retiring after over 40 years of service and there doesn't look like to be an equivalent position being recruited! It's completely renovated now, full of fresh synthetic grass and is begging for you to have a game there. Meet at the centre pole, with plenty of free car-parking around. Time for a Parramatta Walk!!! This is a long-awaited walk out west in 2020, which we will do from Parramatta heading east and back along the foreshore. It's been quite a while between walks, so here is a nice peaceful walk to start off several walks throughout 2020. It will be going down south from Brighton-Le-Sands, and be a peaceful flat amble along the foreshore of Botany Bay. The walk is of easy difficulty and approximately 7-8km return.* 10.30am - Meet outside the Lashings quick eat takeaway place on Bay Street at Brighton-Le-Sands.

Organ concert: Young Organists' Day 2019 (free)
This is the annual Young Organists' Day concert which I do as a meetup every year. The concert features some of the finest organ talent in Sydney. With loads of classical pieces, many of the pieces of which are spectacular, it's a free concert that usually gets ~500 people and 10-20 people from meetup every year.Meet at the middle of the Sydney Town Hall Steps on the last Saturday of the year at 12.15pm, then we go in to the Sydney Town Hall as a group at 12.20pm LATEST. Christmas Day Gathering @ Kogarah!
We with our meetups like every year will be celebrating the joy of Christmas this Christmas Day at Kirkplace Kogarah. This English gathering goes from 9.30am to about 10.45am with snacks / refreshments afterwards. It's run by my relatively small, close-knit, loving and mainstream evangelical church Kirkplace Kogarah at their main hub (12-16 Derby Street, Kogarah).We know it can be hard visiting somewhere new. Many of you wouldn't have heard what an organ ramble is, unless you were on one of my three core groups back in the day. (As I haven't organised one such thing on meetup in years!) First walk of 2019 - The Bay Run!
Putting together a fantastic walk on The Bay Run with several groups and Downtomeet, having done this nice one 2.5yrs ago. The Bay Run is a very popular harbourside walk that never deviates more than 20m from the water. The 7.5km-ish walk is on a flat, well-maintained track that is also pram & dog friendly, with lanes for walkers clearly marked where possible. This will take in the sights of Iron Cove including Rodd Point, Rodd Island, Drummoyne Shoreline, an iron bridge and King George / Leichhardt Parks.

For the October long weekend - and my birthday :) - our combined social groups are going to a hot new rooftop bar in Barangaroo called 'Untied'. Untied is not just another rooftop. Rose Bay to Watsons Bay Walk!
The Rose Bay to Watsons Bay walk is one of the most scenic coastal walking trails in Sydney. The walk brings you to secluded beaches, beautiful parks and picturesque bays, while enjoying panoramic views of the city and the harbour. Some of the highlights of this trail are Milk Beach, Parsley Bay and Nielsen Park. It will go for about 2 hours - after which we'll have an optional lunch and bus it back to the starting position.

It's been a long while since I've organised a bigger dinner/drinks night in the city (since Christmas last year in fact)!!! So it's time to put one on.
