Veagn Potluck & Game Night

Hey Everyone!Remember when we used to have regular potlucks with games? Well, they're baaaaack. With a slight change of venue this time.
We will be meeting at Open Spirit Community Center. We are asking a donation of $5-$10 (more if you can, less if you can't) for use of the space.
Bring a vegan dish to share (no meat, poultry, fish, dairy, eggs, honey, gelatin). Please note any allergens for folks who need to see that information.
If you have a particular party game that you just love, feel free to bring that too!

Uprise Baking & Twin Cities Rail Trail

Let's enjoy pastry at Uprise Baking Co in downtown Fitchburg. Wednesday is pop-tart day! Their website (https://www.uprisebakingco.com) is sparse, but the place is cute and the pastry is yummy. You can park in the commuter rail lot---there are spots dedicated to Uprise off to the right.Then, we'll walk on the Twin Cities Rail Trail, which is about 1 mile away from the bakery. Get ready to mingle with old and new friends for socializing, and having fun playing non-competitive games. Bring a vegan dish to share (and serving utensils) and a beverage of your choice. Cold lemonade and fruit juice will also be provided. Enjoy eating inside the spacious community center, or outside at nearby picnic tables. The center has a modern, fully equipped kitchen and clean bathrooms. Your dish can be dropped off at the community center before you park. Book Club Discussion: The Sexual Politics of Meat by Carol J. Adams, Concord Public Library

Please join us for uur next book club discussion, The Sexual Politics of Meat: A Feminist-Vegetarian Critical Theory by Carol J. Adams. "The Sexual Politics of Meat"argues that what, or more precisely who, we eat is determined by the patriarchal politics of our culture, and that the meanings attached to meat eating are often clustered around virility. First published in 1990, "The Sexual Politics of Meat" is a landmark text in the ongoing debates about animal rights.
We will be meeting in the Trustee's room on the first floor. The room is spacious enough to sit apart with distance and the windows can be opened.
